Dr. Renken is a licensed psychological associate (independent practice certified) as well as a licensed specialist in school psychology. She is also licensed as a school psychologist in the state of New Mexico.

After majoring in psychology for her undergraduate degree, Dr. Renken earned her Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) degree at Sam Houston State University and is a proud Bearkat alumna. After completing her school psychology internship in Joliet, IL, she worked as a school psychologist and educational diagnostician in New Mexico before moving to San Antonio, TX. She has worked as an LSSP and LSSP Supervisor in Northside ISD since 2014, in addition to serving as an adjunct faculty member at Trinity University. She is also an experienced provider of professional development for LSSPs and diagnosticians and has presented at state and national conferences.

In her free time, Dr. Renken enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also works as a soccer referee at the recreational, semi-professional, and collegiate levels. With any remaining time, she enjoys reading, movies, and true crime TV.
